Coffee Moments is a daily habit that’s actually good for you — a small, steadying feed of encouragement for the start of your day.

Making life better, one morning at a time

Coffee Moments exists to encourage people. That’s the whole aim. Every day it delivers short posts — a line of Scripture, a piece of durable wisdom, a reflection written to steady you — through an app that feels as familiar as anything else on your phone, and is pointed the opposite direction.

A different kind of thing on your phone

Coffee Moments began with a simple frustration: the apps that hold our attention every morning — the feeds, the timelines, the endless scroll — mostly leave us feeling worse. Anxious, compared-to, outraged, a little emptier than before we picked up the phone. They’re built to pull on whatever keeps us tapping, and too often that’s the worst in us.

We wanted the opposite. Coffee Moments is a feed too — you open it in a spare minute, short posts, newest first, familiar as anything else on your phone. But every post in it is there to encourage you, and there’s no one else in it. No comment sections, no pile-ons, no follower counts, no strangers’ hot takes, no bottomless scroll of other people’s lives.

It’s meant to be a net positive on your home screen instead of one more thing quietly costing you something — a habit that leaves you a little more settled than it found you. The aim is to bring out the best in people rather than the worst: to encourage, to lift, to remind you that the day in front of you can be met well.

It can even look like the apps you’re trying to spend less time in — a Facebook skin, an Instagram one, X, TikTok — the familiar feel, with none of the parts that wear you down.

What you’ll find inside

Seven “readings” you can follow in any combination: a short Scripture each morning; Oswald Chambers’ My Utmost for His Highest, in full; daily wisdom on character and purpose; reflective, conversational notes; verse-and-devotional pairings; and first-person retellings from the people who were in Scripture. You pick which ones show up in your feed. You can like or save a moment for yourself, quietly. And you can ask a short, thoughtful companion to help you think a passage through. That’s it — no inbox, no notifications you didn’t ask for, no one to perform for.

How the readings are made

Some of what you’ll read is drawn from public-domain classics — Chambers especially, whose 365 daily entries are included in full. The rest is written for Coffee Moments. We use AI tools to help draft it, but a person reads and edits every post before it publishes, and we hold one firm line: a reading never speaks as God or as Jesus. Encouragement, reflection, and Scripture in its own words — never words put in God’s mouth.

Who’s behind it
